As a member of the Bayou Bend Fitness Center, you have access to proven, science-based programs to help make lasting, healthy change.

  • A variety of weekly group exercise classes including Cardio Weights, Sculpt and Burn, Kickboxing, Circuit, Barre-Fusion, Yoga, Indoor Cycling, Forever Young, "Move, Laugh, Connect," and Aquatics.
  • Personal training (professionally certified and attend continuing education courses regularly)

Bayou Bend Fitness Center Group Exercise Classes

  • 5000

    Get up and move!  In this class. you will accumulate at least 5000 steps.  There will be a mix of cardio, strength, dance to the beat of fun energetic music.  All fitness levels welcome!

  • AQUAGYM

    Aquagym is the performance of aerobic exercise in fairly shallow water. Done mostly vertically and without swimming, it is a type of resistance training. The classes focus on aerobic endurance, resistance training, and creating an enjoyable atmosphere with music.

  • AQUA TAI CHI FLOW

    Aqua Tai Chi Flow is a practice that includes Tai Chi, Yoga, and meditation, using the water for resistance and relaxation. Benefits include improved balance and strength as well as a reduction in stress.

  • BARRE

    Barre Fusion is a low impact, high intensity workout. Barre Fusion exercises consist of a mixture of Pilates, ballet and yoga which aim to break down muscle and build up strength. No dancing background is needed for this class.

  • BON PAS MOVEMENT

    Join us for a fun and challenging workout that includes a combination of cardio moves and muscular strength exercises.

  • BODY TUNING

    Body Tuning will offer a fabulous core workout to not only tone but enhance daily living. You will build strength, stability and endurance in the muscles that support your core, improve balance, assist injury prevention, and become better at everything you do.

  • CHAIR YOGA

    This gentle yoga is perfect for people who want to try yoga for the first time or for those who are looking for a softer approach to their practice. This class will combine gentle yoga poses with breathing exercises to stretch and strengthen the body is a gentle atmosphere of ease and calm.

  • COMMUNITY RUCK

    A monthly meetup at different walking trails around the area provides a great way to get your body going by taking a brisk walk with us with or without a weighted vest. Enjoy natural landscapes while getting healthy together as a group.

  • CORE BLASTER

    Strengthen your core and enhance flexibility with this dynamic workout. The focus will be engaging your core through a mix of bodyweight exercises using free weights and bands. Recovery and balance are promoted with stretching.

  • CYCLE EXPRESS

    In Cycle Express, hop on the bike for 30 minutes! Feel the music! Experience sprints, hill climbs, jumps and more. You can ride at your own pace. Work to attain specific objectives including weight loss, improved muscle tone and strength, as well as boosting your cardiovascular system. Most importantly, have fun and let go of the stress from your day! If you are new to Cycle, please arrive 10 minutes prior to class to be fitted on the bike.

  • CYCLEPATH

    Cyclepath is a 45-minute no-impact way to improve aerobic fitness and lose body fat. Infused with music and motivation, the class takes the rider on a journey of hill climbs, sprints, and flat riding. The workout is designed to build cardio endurance by maintaining the riders heart rate at an aerobic training base with peaks of intensity. No cycle experience needed, just have fun. If you are new to Cycle, please arrive 10 minutes prior to class to be fitted on the bike.

    Fierce is a martial art inspired workout. Punch and kick combos are sure to supply you with a great calorie burn.arts-inspired

  • FOREVER YOUNG

    Forever Young classes are designed to increase flexibility, joint stability, balance, coordination, agility, muscular strength, and cardiovascular endurance. The workout combines aerobic, resistance training, and toning with plenty of friendly fun.

  • GRAVITY & GRIT

    Gravity & Grit is a strength-forward circuit experience that fuses grounded resistance training with the explosive, low-impact power of rebounder-based movement.

    H20 is a full body interactive aquatic class.  Splish Splash your way to a new fitness passion.  You WILL get wet!

  • HIIT AQUA

    Looking for higher intensity workouts in the water? HIIT Aqua is complete cardio and strength exercises that will elevate your heart rate. All fitness levels welcome!

  • HIIT HAPPENS

    HIIT is a high-intensity interval training class involving total body, heart-pumping, aerobic and strength conditioning workout. This interval-based class alternates between short bursts of maximum effort and short recovery periods to help you burn fat, boost endurance, and build strength. 


    Modifications for all fitness levels are provided.

    Ignite Express is a form of interval training alternating periods of intense exercise with less intense recovery periods.

  • KIDS FIT

    Kids Fit is an organized fitness workout led by certified youth fitness instructors. Kids participate in warm-ups, fitness moves, games, and yoga/mindfulness practice that will make fitness fun!

  • KILL IT WITH KREIG

    Get ready to tone muscles and ignite your endurance in this high-energy fusion class! Kill It with Kreig is a full-body training workout designed to sculpt and strengthen with a variety of equipment, followed by a heart-pumping cardio finisher to leave energized and accomplished. 

  • LIFT THE BAR

    Lift the Bar is a full body weighted workout. Use barbells OR dumbbells to burn fat and build muscle.

  • MOVE.LAUGH.CONNECT – (MLC)

    Enhance your fitness and brain health in MLC. This balance program for total well-being addresses one’s physical, emotional, and social dimensions in a group setting. Participants experience a variety of exercises to preserve functionality, embrace humor and actively engage with fellow classmates in a safe, relaxing environment.

  • MOVE IT!

    MOVE IT is a cardio dance class that will make you move and groove!

  • PEDAL & POWER

    Pedal & Power is a total-body workout designed to improve both cardiovascular fitness and muscular strength. It includes cycling segments followed by off-bike strength work using light to moderate dumbbells, bands, and bodyweight exercises. Movements are easy to follow with modifications offered, making this class accessible, effective, and enjoyable for all fitness levels.

  • PILATES (MAT)

    Swan is a ballet workout class using true structure from ballet movements.

  • POUND

    This class is a high-energy workout while drumming. Instead of listening to music, YOU become the music in this exhilarating full-body workout that combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with yoga and pilates-inspired movements. Designed for most fitness levels.  

  • POWER UP

    This total body, low-impact, strength training workout uses a variety of equipment, including dumbbells, bars, and resistance bands to build a strong body in order to achieve your fitness goals.

  • POWER WALKING

    This power walking class meets at the track behind the Bayou Bend Fitness Center. Let's hit the road together!

  • SERENITY

    In a Serenity class, you will participate in exercise movements that will offer lots of stretching, lengthening, improved flexibility, stability, and strength. This class is great for those preferring a slower-paced class. 

  • SIT FIT

    Describe the item or answer the question so that site visitors who are interested get more information. You can emphasize this text with bullets, italics or bold, and add links.
  • SOULFLOW

    Start your morning by unifying your mind and body with stretching routines. Connecting breaths and movement to awaken your joints, muscles, and spirit. Standing exercises and chairs will be used. Fill your spirit with some SOULFLOW.  All fitness levels welcome.

  • STEP & TONE

    Step and tone classes are an easy to follow cardio and weights workout using a step (or can be done on floor). Burn calories and strengthen and tone muscles in the entire body. This routine will help train your heart, lungs, bones, muscles, and much more.

  • STEP STRONG

    Step Strong is a basic cardio step class set to upbeat music, featuring easy-to-follow step patterns with integrated moves that can be performed on or off the box. This class is designed to improve coordintation and agility while providing a steady, effective workout. 

  • TAI CHI

    Tai Chi is a practice that involves a series of slow gentle movements, a meditative state of mind and controlled breathing with benefits to mental and physical health.  

  • TIGHTEN & TONE

    This total-body, low-impact, strength training workout uses a variety of equipment, including dumbbells and resistance bands to build a strong body and schieve fitness goals. 

  • UPLIFT

    UPLIFT Strength Fitness™ makes building strength fun, effective, and essential. Through functional, full-body training using hand weights up to 15 lbs, resistance bands, a ball, and mat-based work, this class helps you build real strength in a way that feels empowering and approachable. Set to a hype playlist of iconic throwbacks, UPLIFT delivers powerful results while keeping energy high and the experience enjoyable.

  • VIRTUAL CYCLE

    With the guidance of a virtual trainer, hop on a cycle to train like a road bike racer while having fun and discover how easy it is to keep fit or improve your sports performance. Through this class you will easily attain specific objectives, including weight loss, improved muscle tone and strength, as well as boosting the cardiovascular system. PLEASE NOTE—virtual classes will vary in length.

  • YOGA FLOW

    Yoga Flow is crafted to integrate movement, strength, flexibility, balance, and breath. Each session varies, as focus changes from core, hips, upper body, lower body, and/or balance. Each class concludes with relaxation and stillness. All levels welcome.
